The Rainbow Alliance was bound by existing Bylaws and was unable to expand to include all LGBT and LGBT-friendly businesses in Greater Fort Lauderdale.

On April 26, 2011, the Rainbow Alliance membership unanimously voted to establish the Greater Fort Lauderdale Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (GFLGLCC) as a 501 c (6) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting business and economic opportunities for the LGBT and LGBT friendly community in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area.

The new Chamber was soon formed as an affiliate of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). This important affiliation will extend our reach beyond Greater Fort Lauderdale. As a result, members will have access to many more benefits, compared to the Rainbow Alliance. In addition to the NGLCC affiliation and benefits, the GFLGLCC intends to work with other affiliate chambers like the Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) and MBA Orlando - Central Florida's LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

Membership fees are also much lower. The Rainbow Alliance dues started at $330, where a standard Business Membership with the GFLGLCC is only $250. We are also waiving new member processing fees, said Keith Blackburn, President of the newly formed GFLGLCC.

The GFLGLCC’s affiliation with the NGLCC will allow the Chamber and its members more opportunities. As a national umbrella organization, the NGLCC is a clearinghouse of ideas and information for and between businesses and organizations. The NGLCC works with Federal, State and Affiliate Chambers and business groups on various issues. Most importantly, the NGLCC is the premier advocate on behalf of LGBT owned businesses, professionals, students of business, and corporations that share in our desire to expand the community's financial opportunities, economic growth, continued innovation, and equality.

The NGLCC Supplier Diversity Initiative (SDI) offers businesses a tool to make connections and open doors with America's top corporations and each other. The SDI certifies Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and/or Transgender owned Business Enterprises (LGBTBEs) and works to provide opportunities for LGBTBEs to gain exposure within corporate procurement processes. The NGLCC SDI offers certification to LGBTBEs, as well as a host of opportunities to enhance your business' visibility to corporations seeking to do business with LGBT suppliers. Each member of the GFLGLCC will have a membership to the NGLCC and if qualified, is eligible to apply for the SDI at no additional cost.

The GFLGLCC will begin to host and promote a variety of services and events to the community and its member,, including Networkers, Workshops, Breakfasts, Luncheons, Dinners, Evening Mixers, member to member discounts, business seminars, business tables and introductions, to name a few. For a full list of events and services available through the GFLGLCC please visit www.gogayfortlauderdale.com.

For more information about the GFLGLCC, or to become a member please visit www.gogayfortlauderdale.com or contact ARL Marketing & Public Relations at 954-600-3154 or via email at: andrew@arlmarketing.com for media coverage, press kits, membership kits and live interview requests.

About Greater Fort Lauderdale Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (GFLGLCC):
The GFLGLCC is a 501 C (6) Non Profit organization, with the following Mission Statement: Dedicated to promoting business and economic opportunities for the LGBT and LGBT-friendly community in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area. To be an advocate and resource for all member businesses that promote equality. To promote tourism with a unified approach, by working with appropriate and related organizations.

About National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC):
The NGLCC is the business advocate and direct link between lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) business owners, corporations, and government, representing the interests of more than 1.4 million LGBT businesses and entrepreneurs. The NGLCC is committed to forming a broad-based coalition of LGBT owned and friendly businesses, professionals, and major corporations for the purpose of promoting economic growth and the prosperity of our members.

An Evening Under the Stars with Dabra Hampton

Vocalist and songwriter Debra Hampton, popular among the crowds of Wilton Manors, brings her sultry voice and smooth sound to Galanga Thai Kitchen and Sushi Bar every Thursday evening. Local fans now have the pleasure of relaxing to their favorite R&B, jazz and other easy-listening songs to compliment an extraordinary dining experience.
“Guests will not only have the great food, ambiance and service that they are used to, but they will have a great bonus,” said Edi Mulyanto, general manager of Galanga. “She’s a very well known singer in the community and her talent is amazing.” Mulyanto said the evening was an event that he has been waiting for since Hampton first performed at Galanga last Valentine’s day and received standing applaud from diners that came for a little romance created by a big voice.
Hampton considers herself versatile when it comes to her performance. From soft romance to disco to house music to show tunes, Hampton has a wide ability to cover all styles of music that showcase a diva talent and a passion to create soulful music.
“I’ve always been a singer because it’s what I was born with,” Hampton said. Growing-up in New Haven, CT, Hampton launched her first “big out” while in the sixth grade as the lead singer in a band of high school seniors. Indeed, her natural gift was just waiting for cultivation. Hampton recalled that there was only one time early in her career when she worked as a back-up singer that she was sent to a vocalist for training. But that was an easy graduation. There was little for the professional to teach, except perhaps provide a boost of confidence and say “I don’t even want to touch you because I don’t want to corrupt your voice,” according to Hampton. She continued through her career absorbing into her talent the sounds she recorded and performed with, including great legends such as Tina Turner, Tavares, Buddy Miles, The Hank Williams Jr. Band and James Brown.
Hampton hopes to create something special for diners at Galanga in its intimate atmosphere that will bring her music closer to her fans and diners alike. It will be a night of romance for lovers; a night to bring back old memories from songs put on dusty shelves and reminisce about good times among new faces and a night to savor the sensual tastes of Thai and sushi, Asian fusion.
Hampton debuts her musical styling this Thursday, April 8 at Galanga. Call to make your reservation in advance at 954-202-0000. Galanga is located at 2389 Wilton Dr. Wilton Manors, FL. Sponsored by Supreme Magazine and Mywigsandweaves.com (MWAW)

After his concert at the Paramount Theater in Oakland, CA on Monday, January 12, 2009, John Legend and Estelle will join their fans to party the night away at Maxwell’s lounge located at 341 13th Street, Oakland, CA For guest list and ticket information, please log on to www.suprememag.com.

About John Legend
John Legend has sold more than five million albums worldwide, garnered multiple hit singles ("Ordinary People," "Used to Love U," "So High," "Save Room," "Heaven," "Another Again"), received countless awards (including five Grammys) and wowed rapt audiences across the globe. Critics have called him a genius, one of the most compelling and important singer/songwriters of this generation, an elegant ambassador of soul.
With all of the acclaim, it would be easy for John Legend to rest on his laurels, but he continues to push himself, always striving to break new musical ground. "Some people have been making the same album for years and they don't really push the envelope," Legend says. "That's not me. Expect me to experiment. Expect me to always approach the music in new and different ways."
Legend does all that and more on Evolver, the follow-up to his Grammy award-winning Once Again. His new album's name is as succinct as it is bold, a one-word mission statement encapsulating the singer's ambitions. "I am constantly evolving as a person and as an artist," says Legend. "You still have the legacy of what you did before and the people's memory of that will always be there, but with each album you get to question that, to play with it and even rebel against if you want to and I did that with this album."
About Maxwell’s Lounge:
Maxwell's caters to a discerning clientele. It is the perfect spot for urban professional singles, couples, friends and business associates to converse, dine, enjoy live music, or groove to R&B and neo-soul music. The décor is dramatic and stylized featuring rich tones of crimson, deep chocolate, sea-mist green and crisp white. The floor plan is open and includes a lounge with intimate seating areas, a high profile bar, an inviting dining area, raised stage and dance floor. The warmth and sophistication that is Maxwell's is without rival.

About Supreme Magazine
Supreme Magazine Group, LLC, is a Los Angeles, California-based start-up that focuses on urban and hip-hop culture from all angles, including educational, cultural, and financial. <![endif]-->
Stuart and Linda Macfarlane are proud to announce the release of their children's fantasy novel Medusa Island. The book, which is geared towards children aged 9 to 12 and parents, invites readers to explore a mythical world in which the evil Doctor X turns people and animals into creatures on the Scottish island of Gogha.

As the story opens, Melissa, our 11-year old heroine has just been turned into the mythical creature Medusa - complete with squirmy snakes in her hair. In an effort to seek help for the islanders, Melissa escapes to Scotland's mainland, where she quickly learns that anyone that looks at her turns immediately to stone…unless they are wearing protective sunglasses like her new friends Simon and Ross. How will the trio put an end to Doctor X's evil scheme and save the world?

"Medusa Island is a fabulously funny fantasy novel," says co-author Stuart Macfarlane. "We wanted to create a book that children and parents can read together and that will truly take them away into a world of fantasy and imagination. This is a book that resonates with all audiences because of the intricacy of the world we created and the many levels within that world to which each reader can relate differently."

The authors are gearing up for a busy holiday sales season and are currently scheduling reading engagements in bookstores and libraries throughout the UK.

More About Medusa Island

Medusa Island is available in major bookstores throughout the U.S. and UK, including Wal-Mart, Target, Barnes and Noble, Walden Books, Borders, WH Smith, Books-A-Million, Toys R Us, and Tesco.

For more information visit www.medusaisland.com

Pastor with "Midas Touch" Pens Best-Selling Leadership Development Book

Pastor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Randy A. White has recently released his newest book The Keys to Transforming Lives from Simple to Sensational. The book, which is already a best-seller, focuses on helping everyday people become exceptional leaders by taking ownership of their leadership skills make an impact on fellow community members.

The Keys to Transforming Lives from Simple to Sensational is gaining praise for White's insightful observations and lessons that can be applied to individuals in all environments, including business settings, faith-based organizations, and in a reader's personal life. Using an his unorthodox writing style, White inspires readers to demand more for themselves by not just settling for being a leader, but, instead, endeavoring to be a sensational leader. Bishop T.D. Jakes said that "No person can survive the many storms Bishop Randy White has endured and not have something to pass on to us. I am excited about this book and its potential to encourage us from his shared wisdom. God knows if ever was a time we needed Keys to Transforming Your Life from Simple to Sensational, it is in times like these."
Through his community leadership and service organizations, White has proven that he didn't just write the book on transforming lives; he practices what he preaches. "My message is one of hope and inspiration," said White. "Through this book and through my work in the community, I'm dedicated to helping people meet their most basic needs and encouraging others to get involved in community service. I don't want just my book to be an inspiration to my readers; I want my whole life to be an inspiration."

White's latest book isn't just helpful; it's getting noticed by the leadership industry's most celebrated leaders. "In business, industry, government, as well as in the church, we are sorely in need of men and women who are bold enough to dream big and humble enough to roll up their sleeves and work hard with others to see their dreams come to pass," said renowned speaker and author John C. Maxwell." That's what this book is all about - a mentoring program for a new generation of men and women ready to see things happen."

More About Randy A. The many benefits of using bamboo and soy can help keep our children and our earth healthy.

The soybean fabric is produced by using the leftover dregs of tofu and soybean oil production and spinning the proteins into threads. Soybean is sustainable because it uses what would have been waste and turning it into something useful, namely soybean fabric. The production of soybean does not pollute the environment as the accessory and auxiliary agents are non-toxic and the residue after the protein is extracted can still be used as feed for livestock. The fabric produced by this process is light and smooth with a silky sheen. Bamboo is by nature pest resistant and grown naturally without the use of pesticides or fertilizers and uses very little rain water. Bamboo also regenerates quickly and can be harvested repeatedly. The bamboo plants used for fabric is planted and grown on family-owned farms that have been in agricultural use for generations. The raw material bamboo is selected from a non-polluted region in the Yunnan and Sicuan province in China. The whole distilling and production process is a green process without any effect on the environment. The resulting fabric is light, almost translucent, and softer than cotton with a natural sheen that feels like silk or cashmere. In addition, bamboo fiber is a biodegradable textile material. As a natural cellulose fiber, it can be 100% biodegraded in the soil by microorganisms and sunshine.
Lotus Bèbè by Raulin Enterprises, Inc. was created in Southern California, in 2008, out of a need for stylish baby accessories that were also environmentally friendly. They discovered the unique properties of bamboo and soybean fabrics and started looking for items made with either. Trying to find items made from bamboo and soybean was challenging, due to the fact that no one was carrying these items. So the idea of Lotus Bèbè was started. There product line was launched with hip mommas and poppas in mind, who want to give their children something natural, eco-friendly but at the same time luxurious.

URBAN LIFEDESIGN GROUP INVITE ALL TO THE HAVANA LOFTS LAUNCH EVENT: “A NIGHT IN THE TROPICS”

(Miami, Florida) October 9, 2008- After waiting in the wings for two years, the Urban Lifedesign Group (ULG) is set to make their vision of attainable homeownership a reality with the unveiling of Havana Lofts. Havana Lofts, an upscale building featuring 90 luxury condos overlooking Downtown Miami, will host a “Night in The Tropics” launch event on October 22, 2008 from 6:30-9:30pm. The guest list will be extensive and the event will feature cocktails, entertainment, art, cigars, and hors de oeuvres. A ribbon cutting ceremony featuring city officials and celebrities is sure to be an unforgettable one.

The Urban Lifedesign Group was created by Ryan Kuhlman and Rick Garrido. What is their vision? Providing home ownership to those not readily presented with the opportunity otherwise. Kuhlman and Garrido birthed this idea two years ago as they saw real estate prices climb into the stratosphere. While spearheading over $600 million in conversions for large developers all over the state of Florida, Kuhlman saw that many aspiring first time home buyers were being left on the sidelines wondering if they were ever going to achieve the American dream. Ricardo Garrido boasts vast and varied experience in real estate marketing. He’s now brought that experience to brand ULG and its projects. Kuhlman and Garrido recruited Anish Dave, owner and President of The Trust Alliance Group. The team knew Dave would bring experience and expertise in the financial and mortgage market to their already dynamic team. Born from Kuhlman’s vision, these gentlemen have created a solid solution to making real estate attainable again. Using strategic pricing, special incentive programs, city, county and state subsidies, and by joining forces with select developers and non for profit groups, ULG will be able to provide great quality at a truly attainable price. ULG has set a price point on the condos at Havana Lofts not seen since several years back.

Wednesday October 22, 2008 marks the day when Ryan Kuhlman and partners will go back in time and take the real estate market back to the year 2000. Havana Lofts, located on <st1:street st="on"><st1:address st="on">605 SW Flagler Street</st1:address></st1:street>, was built to attract working professionals in the downtown area. Made up of 90 one and two bedroom units, Havana Lofts was built for luxury living. All condos feature stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and huge balconies, perfect for entertaining guests. Hiring outside firms not only saves businesses from having to pay an extra salary, but it also decreases the cost of a larger office space, insurance benefits, payroll taxes, employee vacation, employee management and more.

"With the average salary for an in-house Marketing and Communications Director starting at about $55,000 per year, plus costs for benefits and payroll taxes, we've seen a huge spike in interest in our services," said Andrew Lord, President & Chief Executive Officer of ARL Marketing & Public Relations. "Many of our clients have financially benefited by downsizing their full-time payroll in exchange for hiring an outside company like ours. Plus, our clients know that we're going to work hard to get them the results that they need in order to stay successful in this tricky economy right now. Our business success relies on their business success."

With so many marketing and PR firms on the market right now, finding the right vendor for your business can be tough, notes Lord. Traditionally, some companies have admitted to feeling comfortable hiring big-name firms, even though the rates for services are higher than a smaller company. However, smaller companies may be able to provide the attention and enthusiasm that larger companies cannot muster.

"Based on the inquiries that we're getting for new business, we're finding that companies are tending to favor boutique firms over larger firms," said Lord. "People are concerned about the bottom dollar now. They don't have extra money to spend on a high-dollar, larger PR firm when they know that a smaller firm will tend to work harder and closer with them, especially when the PR or marketing budget is under $10,000."

A monthly ARL Marketing & Public Relations retainer fee ranges from $500 to $1,000, in comparison to larger firms, which can range from $3,000 to $30,000. Plus, Lord notes, all marketing and PR firms have access to the same press contacts and hire staff for the same roles, including account executives, publicists, writers, and graphic designers. Plus, smaller firms may be more flexible when it comes to contract terms and duration. For example, ARL Marketing & Public Relations refines contracts based on client needs - whether it be a 1 to 3 month project, or one year retainer, ARL Marketing & Public Relations can create a campaign that works for both.

What's more, a smaller firm may understand the struggles and concerns of smaller businesses. "We're a small business, so we understand what our clients are going through on a day-to-day basis," said Lord. "Our goal is to make sure that each of our clients gets hands-on attention whenever they call or email us with a need. color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Antipoleez™, the product name of a revolutionary lozenge-type bad breath eliminator developed by an established Swiss confectioner, has launched a sales and marketing campaign throughout North America through vigorous web sales (www.antipoleez.com) and promotions through industry distributors. The name of the product has gained the attention of law enforcement officials to attempt a ban on the sale and distribution of the product that they see as a hindrance to being able to detect alcohol on the breath of traffic and public disturbance violators. The powerful combination of natural ingredients has been proven to completely eliminate the odors caused by the consumption of alcohol (as well as pungent foods or tobacco). Antipoleez™ now finds itself in the center of a controversy and a classic battle between marketing philosophy and ethics.

Law Officials have raised strong objection to the name and packaging of the product. They have attempted to influence the ability of distributors to stock the product and to display the product at the check-out counters of convenience stores, liquor stores, tobacco shops, etc. While there is nothing in the product that is illegal, it is the belief of many law enforcement agencies that Antipoleez™ might inhibit officers in their ability to detect the smell of alcohol during traffic and public disturbance investigations. This controversy has helped the sales and “the buzz” over the product by putting it front and center in the way products are marketed and sold.

While the product name may be controversial, Antipoleez™ does not lessen the ability for law-enforcement officials to successfully test citizens for unacceptable levels of alcohol in the bloodstream. The many attempts of Law Enforcement Officers and Officials to dissuade distribution and sales of the product have only added to the popularity and wider distribution of Antipoleez™.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 115%; It is also become very popular at casinos and other gambling venues. The provocative nature of the product name makes it unlike any other mint or breath freshener currently on the market.
Antipoleez™ was developed in Switzerland by a confectioner with over 80 years providing quality products internationally. Antipoleez™ is a registered trademark of the RNY Group and marketed as a superior alternative to current mints, fresheners and gums that merely mask or cover bad breath.

With anti-smoking and alcohol trends becoming more prevalent in major cities throughout the United States, those who may still enjoy tobacco and alcohol often feel self-conscious about the noticeable effects of these products on their breath. The mission of Antipoleez™ is to boost self-esteem and confidence, whether bad breath is caused by tobacco, alcohol use or the ingestion of a host of foods that can contribute to halitosis.

In stark contrast to breath mints, fresheners or flavored gums that mask odors, the properties of Antipoleez™ lozenges consumes the odor molecules left behind by alcohol, tobacco, garlic, curry, onions, etc. Additionally, those who may suffer from chronic halitosis caused by taking prescription medications also experience an increase in fresh, clean breath with the use of Antipoleez™. The product contains no artificial flavors and its effects are immediate.

About Antipoleez™
The year is 2150. Almost all of the planets in the galaxy now have extraterrestrial life.
